About Nommer

Every recipe ever written assumes one cook. Nommer is the app for the other person in the kitchen.

What Nommer does

Bring any recipe — a link, a photo of a cookbook page, a text from your mom — and Nommer rebuilds it into a synced two-cook plan. Each cook gets their own checklist on their own phone: your steps, their steps, and the handoffs between you, with the timing lined up so every part of the dish finishes at the same moment. Ticking a step on one phone updates the other live.

The idea has history: there's a whole genre of cook-together cookbooks that print every recipe twice, once per cook. Nommer does that for any recipe, with live sync instead of a shared page. Here's how the split works — or browse recipes people have already shared.

Why it exists

Because "let's cook together" usually ends with one person cooking and one person hovering. Not for lack of goodwill — recipes simply aren't written for two pairs of hands. Once the work is actually split, cooking together is faster than cooking alone and more fun than almost anything else you can do in a kitchen on a Tuesday.

Who makes it

Nommer is built by Garm Tech BV. The app is free on iOS and Android, with an optional Nommer Pro upgrade.
