How it works

Each of you picks a language. It starts with your phone's language, and you can change it in your profile.
One recipe, two checklists. Nommer splits the recipe into a plan for two cooks. Your steps show up in your language, theirs in theirs.
Everything stays in sync. Tick off a step and it ticks off on the other phone. When it's time to pass something over, you both get the handoff in your own words.
Start from any recipe. A Japanese cookbook, a Spanish food blog, a TikTok in Korean. Paste it or snap it, and each of you reads it your way.

Who cooks in two languages

Bilingual couples. English at work, Japanese or Portuguese at home. Nobody has to cook in their second language.
Visiting parents and grandparents. Cook with your mum or your grandad in the language they grew up with, not the one on the recipe.
Family recipes from back home. The recipe is written in Polish, the kids read English. Now both can cook from it.

Can two people read the same recipe in different languages?

Yes. In Nommer each cook picks a language on their own phone. You cook the same recipe from the same plan, and each of you reads it in your own language.

Do we both need the app?

Yes, one phone each. One of you adds the recipe and sends an invite link, the other taps it and joins. Nommer is free on iOS and Android.
