Ingredients
- 675 g ripe tomatoes (mixed sizes, at room temperature)
- 225 to 340 g fresh mozzarella cheese (torn into bite-size chunks)
- extra-virgin olive oil, to taste
- coarse sea salt, to taste
- fresh black pepper, to taste
- 6 to 8 fresh basil leaves

1. Tear the mozzarella COOK 2
- Tear the mozzarella into bite-size chunks

- Cut the tomatoes into an assortment of slices and chunks
3. Arrange the tomatoes COOK 1
- On a large plate, spread the tomato slices and chunks in a single, slightly overlapping layer
4. Make the salad COOK 1
- Tuck the mozzarella chunks among the tomato pieces
- Drizzle generously with extra-virgin olive oil
- Sprinkle with coarse sea salt and coarsely ground fresh black pepper
- Tear the basil leaves into small pieces with your fingertips and spread them on top
