Ingredients
- 800 g braising beef (cubed)
- 4 red peppers
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 50 g butter
- 3 medium onions (thinly sliced)
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 200 ml beef stock
- 450 g spaghetti
- 150 ml sour cream
- 1 tbsp chives (chopped)
- 3 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil

1. Cube the beef COOK 1
- Cube the braising beef
2. Preheat the oven COOK 2
- Preheat the oven to 180°C/gas mark 4

3. Season the flour COOK 1
- In a bowl, combine a pinch of salt with the flour, Lightly coat the diced braising beef in the seasoned flour
4. Roast the peppers COOK 2
- In a roasting tray, lay the peppers cut-side down
- Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper
🤝 Cook 1 hands the roasting tray to Cook 2.
5. Heat the casserole COOK 1
- Place a large flameproof casserole dish over a high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and all of the butter
6. Brown the beef COOK 1
- Once the butter has melted, add the beef in batches and fry until browned all over
- Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside
7. Soften the peppers COOK 2
- Cook the peppers in the oven until soft, approximately 10 minutes
- Remove and allow to cool
- Cut into 1cm slices and set aside, leaving the oven on
8. Slice the onions COOK 2
- Thinly slice the medium onions
- Chop the chives
9. Cook the sauce COOK 1
- Add the onions to the same dish and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden
- Stir in the paprika and peppers and cook for another minute
- Pour in the stock

10. Braise the beef COOK 1
- Return the beef to the casserole dish and cook in the oven for 1 1/2 hours until the beef is tender and cooked through
11. Cook the spaghetti COOK 2
- Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water for 8-10 minutes, or until soft but with a bite

12. Finish the goulash COOK 1
- Remove the casserole dish from the oven, season if necessary and skim off any fat that has risen to the surface, Then, stir in the sour cream
13. Plate and serve BOTH
- Divide the spaghetti into bowls
- Spoon the goulash on top and sprinkle with the chives, Serve immediately
